Services: My Dog Spot training and animal handling philosophy supports the IAABC’s (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) position on a least invasive, minimally aversive approach to animal training.

The Trainer will make every reasonable effort to help the Client achieve training and behavior modification goals but makes no guarantee of Dog’s performance or behavior as a result of providing professional animal behavior consultation and manners training. Many factors play into a dog’s behavior and behavior challenges, such as previous training history, medical history, genetics, environment, and more. All of these factors affect behavior modification and many of them are out of a trainer’s control. Client understands that he/she, and members of the household, must follow the trainer’s instructions without modification, work with Dog daily as recommended, and constantly reinforce the training plan that has being given for Dog.

Liability: If Dog causes property damage, bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to the trainer and trainer’s agents), during or after the term of this Agreement, then Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and the trainer’s agents from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees. If Dog is injured in a fight or in any other manner during or after the term of the Agreement, Client assumes the risk and agrees that Trainer should not be held responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses.

I understand that despite My Dog Spot’s best efforts to maintain the safety of every dog and human, there are certain risks involved in dog training sessions. I voluntarily accept these risks, and release My Dog Spot and its employees, independent contractors and owners and assigns from any and all claims arising out of injury or damage in any way related to or resulting from my association with My Dog Spot, including but not limited to claims of injuries to my dog, myself or any property that belongs to me. I understand and agree that dogs can be unpredictable and that if my dog becomes injured while at a training session with My Dog Spot I will be responsible for my dog’s veterinary bills and any other costs incurred due to the injury. I understand and agree that this release applies to future unknown or unsuspected claims.

I represent that my dog is currently in good health and has not been ill with any communicable illness within the past 30 days. I certify that my dog has not been exposed to Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus and Bordetella (kennel cough) within a 30 day period prior to enrollment. I further certify that my dog has not harmed or demonstrated aggressive or threatening behavior toward any human being and/or animal. If aggressive behavior has been reported, another waiver may be required.

My Dog Spot uses positive training methods and does not advocate the use of choke, prong or shock collars due to the aversive nature of these products. The misuse, and inherent risks involved in their use, can lead to collapsed trachea, injury and even death. Such use of said collars is at the owner’s discretion and My Dog Spot will not be held responsible in any manner legally or otherwise for injuries, side effects or harm resulting from their use.

Terminating Agreement: At Trainer's sole election, Trainer's duties hereunder shall terminate if (a) in Trainer's sole judgment Dog is dangerous or vicious to Trainer or any other person or animal, or interferes with the training of other dogs, or (b) Client breaches any term or condition of this Agreement. Upon termination in accordance with the foregoing, Trainer's duties shall terminate but all other provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

This Agreement is binding upon Client, spouse of Client, and children of Client. This Agreement supersedes all prior discussions, representations, warranties and agreements of the parties, and expresses the entire agreement between Client and Trainer regarding the matters described above. The parties confirm that, except for that which is specifically written in this Agreement, no promises, representations or oral understandings have been made with regard to Dog or anything else. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Client acknowledges that Trainer has not represented, promised, guaranteed or warranted that Dog will never bite, that Dog will not be dangerous or vicious in the future, that Dog will not exhibit other behavioral problems, or that the results of the training will last for any particular amount of time.

This Agreement may be amended only by a written instrument signed by both Client and Trainer.

Occasionally photographs or video footage may be taken of pet(s) and their owners training or participating in events with My Dog Spot. The client gives permission for any resulting photos or videos of the owner and/or pet to be used for advertising or educational material understanding that these are the sole property of My Dog Spot.

Refunds:All sales are final. All packages expire after1 year from purchase date unless previously discussed with the Trainer. This includes the ability to reschedule appointments.
